Hope Xchange is dedicated to preventing suicide and improving mental health outcomes in our most vulnerable and high-risk populations: youth, LGBTQA+ and bipolar communities.
Their innovative, early intervention programs reach those who are struggling with a mental illness wherever and whenever they need us most. They connect in a nonjudgmental and caring manner, strengthening and empowering by renewing life purpose and restoring hope.
While highly functioning, Hope Xchange's key executive staff and mentoring team have been diagnosed with a mental illness, so they truly get it. Each and every one of us deserves someone who cares and no one should ever feel like they have to go through life alone. Hope Xchange brings back love, laughter and light into the lives of those struggling to not only hold onto hope, but to life itself.
Anchored by a volunteer executive team, strategic advisors, peer mentors, mental health advocates and interns (all of whom care very deeply about community and mental wellness) the Hope Xchange family is very active in mental health and suicide prevention advocacy.

Formerly known as California Bipolar Foundation, was founded in June 2007 in San Diego, California by four parents with children affected by bipolar disorder. Well aware of the trauma that bipolar disorder causes for consumers and their families, these parents felt compelled to do something constructive to help.
